Welcome to the Aurora Artists Guild Website
Welcome from Aurora Artists Guild President Bob Mason...
The Aurora Artists Guild, originally called the Aurora Art Club, was founded in 1960. Its purpose is to encourage, educate and promote the fine arts, including fine art photography, in its monthly meetings, as well as provide a variety of venues for its members to show their artwork. Past venues have included the Buell Theatre, the Colorado Wildlife Experience, the City and County of Denver, and Colorado Department Of Transportation along with Chez Artiste, Stella’s Coffee House, and Goodfriends.
The premier show of the Aurora Artists Guild is the Gateway to the Rockies Art Exhibit, which will be held in November. Over 200 pieces of 2-D art, photography and miniatures are exhibited. The Gateway Show is co-sponsored by the City of Aurora, Colorado Cultural Services Division and the Aurora History Museum. Information on entering the show for 2010 is available from the AAG Meetings & Shows menu choice above.
The Aurora Artists Guild meets at the Garden Plaza, 14221 East Evans Avenue, Aurora, CO on the second Monday of the month at 7:00 pm (except July & December). Demonstrations or critiques are included as part of the meeting. Membership in the Aurora Artists Guild is $25 per year.
